Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson has sharply responded to former Chelsea player John Obi Mikel after Chelsea’s 6-2 victory over Wolves.

The win followed a disappointing start to the season, which included a loss to Manchester City. Mikel had criticized Jackson for missing key opportunities in the City match, also questioning the team’s direction under new manager Enzo Maresca.

Jackson, who has faced criticism for his inconsistent finishing since joining Chelsea from Villarreal, made a strong statement by scoring Chelsea’s opening goal against Wolves.

Following the match, Jackson responded to Mikel’s criticism on Instagram, telling him to “shut your mouth” and highlighting the hard work he’s been putting in.

“Shut your mouth, don’t talk s***. We are killing ourselves for Africa,” Jackson wrote.
