Nsukka Diocese dismisses comments by Gov Mbah’s aide over Ogige Market demolition

The Catholic Diocese of Nsukka has distanced itself from partisan politics, insisting that comments made by the Bishop of Nsukka, regarding the demolition of shops astatine Ogige Market, were portion of his pastoral work and not a governmental statement.

In a connection issued on Thursday by the Director of Communications of the Diocese, Fr Emmanuel Asadu, the Church accused Mr Reuben Onyishi, Senior Special Assistant to Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, of dragging the Bishop into a governmental controversy.
