The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has excluded the Ogun State governorship campaigner of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ladi Adebutu, and his moving mate from its last database of candidates for the 2027 governorship election.
Adebutu and his moving mate, some members of the PDP, were absent from the database released by the commission.
INEC listed candidates from 13 governmental parties for the election, but the reasons for the omission of Adebutu and his moving mate were not instantly known arsenic of the clip of filing this report.
The last list, signed by INEC Secretary Rose Oriaran-Anthony, besides includes the governorship campaigner of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Lawal Jimi Adebisi, and his moving mate, Olutayo Florence Funlola Folake, whose inclusion followed a tribunal order.
Other candidates listed for the Ogun State governorship predetermination are Okewole Shuaib Olaniyi of Party A, Awofala Awolola Awoniyi of the Action Alliance (AA), Anifowose Johncrownfit Kayode of the Action Democratic Party, ADP, and Adeola Solomon Olamilekan of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
