Ogun: Oju-Ore Bridge safe, passed integrity tests – FG dismisses social media claims

The Federal Ministry of Works has dismissed claims of structural nonaccomplishment connected the Oju-Ore Bridge successful Ota, Ogun State, saying the span is harmless and structurally sound.

The ministry said the span has passed each required integrity tests and is being built successful enactment with approved engineering standards.

The assurance followed an inspection of the task by a delegation led by the Director of Bridges, Highways and Road Designs, Engr Musa Saidu, connected the directive of the Minister of Works, Engr David Umahi.

The inspection was prompted by videos and posts connected societal media alleging defects connected the bridge.

Speaking with journalists aft the inspection, Saidu said the appraisal showed compliance with engineering standards, describing the nonaccomplishment claims arsenic unsubstantiated.

He warned against judging the integrity of large infrastructure from societal media photos and videos, stressing that specified conclusions indispensable beryllium based connected technological tests.

“The span has undergone integrity tests and passed. It is structurally stable. Engineering decisions are based connected technological tests, not assumptions,” helium said.
