Oshoala shines as Barca advances to the WCL final.

Asisat Oshoala played the whole 60 minutes for Barcelona Femini as they defeated Chelsea 2-1 on aggregate to go to their third consecutive Women’s Champions League final.

Salma Parallueloat took the position of the 28-year-old, who had scored 24 goals in 33 games for Barcelona Femini.

Emma Hayes’ team knew they needed to score in Spain to make up for a 1-0 first leg deficit after being humiliated by Barca in the final two years prior.

When Caroline Graham Hansen scored the first goal during a spectacular counterattack in the 63rd minute, Chelsea’s challenge against a team that had won their previous 19 home games in Europe grew more difficult.

Four minutes later, Guro Reiten calmly scored for the Blues after Sam Kerr’s deft run in behind, interrupting the majority of the more than 70,000 spectators inside Nou Camp’s celebration.

Chelsea tried to score while still down on aggregate, but Barcelona secured their spot in the championship game for a third year in a row.

It puts an end to Chelsea’s quest for a treble, but they are still very much in the running for the Women’s Super League championship and will face off against Manchester United for the Women’s FA Cup.
