Osun 2026: Governorship debate cancelled

Stakeholders and residents successful Osun State person expressed interest implicit the cancellation of the planned Osun 2026 Governorship Debate.

The stakeholders said the improvement has denied voters an accidental to measure the programmes and policies of candidates up of the August 15 governorship election.

The debate, scheduled for Saturday, August 1, successful Osogbo, was called disconnected aft the organisers cited information concerns and the reluctance of immoderate starring governorship candidates to enactment nether the prevailing circumstances.

The lawsuit was jointly organised by Uniq FM, Rave FM, Diamond FM and Fresh FM.

In a statement, the organisers said “the determination was reached unanimously pursuing unfavourable information reports and the unwillingness of immoderate large candidates to be the debate.”

They explained that “the cancellation was indispensable to safeguard participants, invited guests, journalists and members of the public.”
