Osun election: Adeleke presents Certificate of Return to Wike

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke on Thursday visited the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, and presented his Certificate of Return to him.

This came aft the politician visited President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa successful Abuja.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Wednesday presented the certificate to Governor Adeleke.

Adeleke won the August 15, 2026, predetermination after polling 511,067 votes against his opponent, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who scored 444,815 votes.

Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, came 3rd with 17,180 votes.

Wike had said helium would person been successful Osun State during the predetermination if President Tinubu wanted the APC candidate, Oyebamiji, to triumph astatine each costs.
