Osun Guber: INEC urges journalists to counter misinformation

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has urged journalists and media organisations to verify each election-related assertion earlier publication, describing disinformation and misinformation arsenic large threats to the credibility of the August 15, 2026 Osun State governorship election.

Osun Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Oluwatoyin Babalola, gave the complaint on Thursday during a dialog and interactive forum with journalists and captious stakeholders organised by the International Press Centre, IPC, nether the European Union Support to Democratic Governance successful Nigeria Phase II, EU-SDGN II, programme successful Osogbo.
