Oyo abduction: Makinde relaxes curfew

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has lifted relaxed the dusk-to-dawn curfew imposed connected 10 section authorities areas bordering the Old Oyo National Park.

A connection by the State Commissioner for Information, Dotun Oyelade, connected Saturday said the lifting of the curfew followed  intensified information operations to rescue pupils and teachers abducted successful Oriire Local Government Area.

The authorities instructed residents of the affected section authorities areas to resume their mean activities, assuring them that information agencies would proceed operations aimed astatine tackling the kidnapping crisis.

“The authorities is intimately monitoring the information situation, and efforts are ongoing to bring the kidnapping occurrence to an end,” Oyelade said.

Recall that the curfew was initially imposed for 48 hours from June 24, moving regular from 4 p.m. to 8 a.m. crossed the 10 section authorities areas surrounding the Old Oyo National Park. It was aboriginal extended by an further 24 hours.

The State authorities said the regularisation was introduced to enactment ongoing information operations targeting kidnappers and different transgression elements operating wrong the area.
