Parents raise alarm over alleged extortion in Akwa Ibom unity school, seek FG’s intervention

Parents of students astatine the Federal Government College, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State person appealed to the Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, to intervene successful the alleged extortion and aggregate charges by the schoolhouse absorption and the Parent-Teacher Association, PTA of the institution.

Mr Etim Ikong, a genitor whose ward is successful the elder class, claimed that the schoolhouse absorption asked each parents whose wards are successful SS1 to wage N20,000 for uniforms, which, according to him, had already been paid to the national authorities done Remita Retrieval Reference, RRR, to designated banks.
