The Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) has arrested a 27-year-old woman, Hafsat Abubakar, implicit the alleged instauration and circulation of a forged papers claiming that fintech institution OPay Nigeria Limited was readying to unopen down its operations.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Anietie Iniedu, disclosed the apprehension on Wednesday during a property briefing astatine the NPF-NCCC successful Abuja.
According to Iniedu, the probe began aft OPay Digital Services Limited submitted a ceremonial petition connected August 31, 2026, seeking the contiguous investigation, tracing and apprehension of those down the accumulation and dissemination of the fraudulent document.
