Police arrest suspect linked to multiple abductions in Kaduna, Kano, Katsina

The Kano State Police Command has arrested a 35-year-old antheral suspected of belonging to a kidnapping and cattle-rustling syndicate operating crossed Kano, Kaduna and Katsina states.

The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, disclosed this successful a connection on Monday.

According to the statement, the suspect, identified arsenic Habibu Bello, was arrested connected September 14, 2026, during a targeted cognition by operatives of the command’s Anti-Kidnapping Squad.

“Bello, a nonmigratory of Kunkumi Town successful Makarfi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, was arrested pursuing credible intelligence,” the connection said.

“The fishy was progressive successful respective kidnapping, equipped robbery and cattle-rustling activities crossed the 3 states.

“Further probe reportedly led to the apprehension of different suspect, identified arsenic Mudam, from Kwanar Dangora, who was besides allegedly linked to the syndicate,” the connection added.
