Police arrest two suspected Kano tricycle robbers, recover stolen vehicle

The Kano State Police Command has arrested 2 men suspected of robbing tricycle riders successful Kano and recovered a stolen tricycle.

The constabulary identified the suspects arsenic Usman Ashiru, 26, of Rijiyar Lemo, and Abubakar Ali, 28. They were arrested aft allegedly robbing a tricycle rider astatine gunpoint.

The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said successful a connection connected Thursday that the incidental occurred connected July 21, 2026.

According to him, the victim, 22-year-old Abdulrahman Atula of Kawo Hotoro, was allegedly lured by the suspects, drugged and robbed of his tricycle.

Kiyawa said officers from the Dala Police Division recovered the stolen tricycle, bearing registration fig AJG 170 VC and KAROTA fig NSR 0709, during an intelligence-led operation.
