Chairman of the Oyo State Fire Service, Hon. Maroof Akinwande, confirmed the incident.

Akinwande, successful a connection made disposable to DAILY POST on Saturday, explained that the occurrence was caused by an electrical surge.

He said, “Upon arrival, the unit discovered that the twin-duplex residential gathering of four- and three-bedroom flats had already been engulfed by flames, with heavy fume billowing from the affected premises.

“The suspected origin of the occurrence was an electrical surge.”
