Reps in rowdy session as lawmakers summon Tinubu over constituency projects

The House of Representatives was on Wednesday afternoon, thrown into chaos and a heated statement implicit the alleged non-funding of constituency projects crossed the country.

Alex Mascot, subordinate representing Aba North/Aba South Federal Constituency successful Abia State, had moved a question demanding that President Bola Tinubu beryllium summoned to the House to explicate the persistent deficiency of backing for constituency projects.

“Come and explicate to america wherefore we are spending trillions of naira drilling roads, doing changeless roads, yet Nigerians are dying.”

The question was seconded, with lawmaker proposing an amendment that the House should unopen down for 1 week until the substance is afloat resolved.

The connection triggered crisp divisions. Yusuf Gagdi powerfully opposed the motion, arguing that summoning the President was unnecessary since heads of applicable agencies are liable for the implementation and backing of specified projects. 

He besides rejected the thought of closing the House for a week, describing it arsenic unwarranted.
