Responses as Festus Keyamo Orders EFCC to Capture Atiku over Tax evasion Charges

Festus Keyamo (SAN), Minister of State for Labour and Employment and Director of Public Affairs and Chief Spokesperson for the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, recently used the legal system to bring allegations of money laundering against PDP presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

The APC spokesperson revealed that he had sent letters to the chairs of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission, and the Code of Conduct Bureau, giving them a seventy-two (72) hour deadline to invite, arrest, question, and prosecute the former Nigerian vice president. This was done in a post that was published on his official Twitter timeline.

Mr. Keyamo accused Atiku of violating the public servants’ code of conduct, money laundering charges, criminal breach of trust and misappropriation offenses, and criminality violations, according to a transcript of the document that he released on his Twitter account on January 26, 2023.

The images below show a number of responses that followed Mr. Keyamo’s tweet.
