A devastating windstorm accompanied by dense rainfall successful respective communities successful Kwara Local Government Area of Sokoto State has claimed 4 lives, injured galore others, and severely affected galore households.

Following the disaster, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Sokoto Operations Office, conducted an appraisal of the affected communities to find the grade of the demolition and place the contiguous humanitarian needs of the victims.
The windstorm affected Mallamawa, Mai Mushe, Kaura, Sabon Gari, Rungin Tsamiya, and different surrounding settlements, leaving hundreds of families displaced, with galore homes suffering varying degrees of damage.
