The Supreme Court of Nigeria has ordered the last forfeiture of properties belonging to erstwhile Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Governor, Godwin Emefiele.

The apex tribunal overturned an earlier judgement of the Court of Appeal which had ordered a retrial of the case.

A five-member sheet of the apex court, led by Justice Ibrahim Saulawa, unanimously allowed the entreaty and acceptable speech the determination of the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, which had nullified the forfeiture bid made by the Federal High Court successful Lagos.

The apex court’s determination efficaciously restores the last forfeiture of the assets, bringing to an extremity the ineligible situation mounted by Emefiele against the Federal High Court’s order.
