Three brothers arraigned for alleged conspiracy, false information in Edo

Three siblings person been arraigned earlier an Edo State High Court, Benin City, implicit alleged conspiracy, perjury and giving mendacious accusation nether oath.

The siblings, 2 of who are lawyers, were arraigned earlier the tribunal by the constabulary connected a four-count complaint bordering connected conspiracy, perjury, defamation and making mendacious information.

In the complaint expanse with Suit No. B/CD/210C/2025, the defendants were accused of allegedly conspiring among themselves betwixt August 2015 and 2018 to perpetrate acts of defamation and making mendacious accusations.

The defendants are Samuel Obasuyi, Godwin Obasuyi, A.O. Obasuyi and Sons Sawmill Limited.

The prosecuting counsel, R.F. Dimka told the tribunal that the accused persons conspired to person Barrister Dele Edokpayi, a elder lawyer, charged with offences relating to conspiracy and forgery of documents.

Dimka said the accused committed the offences contempt allegedly knowing that the said Dele Edopkayi was guiltless of the claims.
