President Bola Tinubu has approved the enlargement of the Nigerian Army’s operation from 8 to 12 divisions.
A connection by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, connected Thursday, said the president besides approved the recruitment of 20,000 further unit into the Nigerian Army.
Onanuga said the determination is to heighten the country’s information architecture and amended the operational effectiveness of the Nigerian Army.
According to him, the support underscores the President’s unwavering committedness to equipping the Armed Forces to code Nigeria’s evolving information challenges efficaciously and to fortify nationalist defence capabilities further.

1 Division Headquarters – Kaduna (Kaduna, Kano, Katsina and Jigawa States)
2 Division Headquarters – Ibadan (Oyo, Osun, Ekiti and Ondo States)

5 Division Headquarters – Makurdi (Benue, Nasarawa and Kogi States)
6 Division Headquarters – Port Harcourt (Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Cross River States)
