Tinubu sends NDDC’s 2026 Budget Proposal to House of Representatives

President Bola Tinubu has sent the Niger Delta Development Commission’s (NDDC) 2026 statutory fund connection to the House of Representatives for information and approval.

The connection was contained successful a missive dated August 20, 2026, addressed to the Speaker of the House, Rep. Tajudeen Abbas. The National Assembly received the missive connected September 24.

Tinubu said the fund was prepared by the Minister of Niger Delta Development successful enactment with Section 121 of the 1999 Constitution, which requires fund estimates to beryllium submitted to the National Assembly for consideration.

According to the President, the connection was based connected the NDDC’s expected gross and expenditure and was designed to enactment the Federal Government’s fiscal and improvement policies, including the Renewed Hope Agenda.

He said the connection besides considered the 2024–2026 Economic Recovery Growth Plan and the cardinal assumptions underpinning the 2026 Appropriation Act.
