Minister of Works, Senator Dave Umahi, has appealed to Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to enactment the Federal Government successful backing the operation of work lanes and drainage infrastructure on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.
Umahi made the entreaty on Sunday during a stakeholder engagement connected the coastal road and different national infrastructure projects successful Lagos.
Addressing the governor, the curate said further backing from the authorities would beryllium indispensable to present the work lanes and drainage channels required to complement the main highway.
“You person to bring money, Governor, to bash the work lanes, and besides to bash the drainage channels. We indispensable articulation hands to lick this occupation for the involvement of our people,” Umahi said.
He commended the Lagos State Government for its practice and enactment for national infrastructure projects crossed the state, describing the concern arsenic important to the palmy transportation of large projects.
Umahi besides announced that operation of the work lane for the coastal road would commence soon.
According to him, plans for work lanes and secondary drainage channels on Sections 1 and 2 of the task were accelerated pursuing the dense rainfall and flooding precocious experienced successful parts of Lagos.
