“Make direct flights between Nigeria and Brazil a priority,” Tinubu, the recently appointed Brazilian ambassador, requests.
Carlos Areias, the recently appointed Brazilian ambassador to Nigeria, has received a strong recommendation from President Bola Tinubu to give priority to the establishment of direct flights between Brazil and Nigeria.
Following his receipt of the Brazilian ambassador’s letter of credence, Tinubu made this announcement in Abuja on Thursday.
He reaffirmed his conversations on the subject with Brazilian President Lula da Silva in February, outside the African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The president welcomed Nigeria’s 2024 G20 presidency and reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to collaborating closely with Brazil to advance common goals and improve bilateral relations.
Retired Vice Admiral Seth Amoama, Ghana’s high commissioner to Nigeria, also presented President Tinubu with a letter of credence.
He applauded Ghana’s proactive involvement in ECOWAS and restated Nigeria’s resolve to fortifying ties with its friend in West Africa.
