Following Uganda’s victory, Nigeria’s Falconets soar into the African Games final.

At the African Games, the Falconets are expected to successfully defend their gold medal. They advanced to the competition’s football final by defeating Uganda, bringing them one step closer to realizing their ambition.

Okah Adaobi and Chiamaka Okwuchukwu scored goals in the 74th and 89th minutes, respectively, to give Nigeria a 2-0 victory.

The Monday semi-final match featured a fierce first half for the team led by coach Christopher Danjuma. They had possession, but it would take an enormous effort to get past Uganda’s defense.

After the first 45 minutes of play finished without a goal, Nigeria resumed their pursuit in the second half.

With roughly 19 minutes remaining in standard time, Nigeria made two changes. Adaobi took Olusola Shobowale’s position, and in what turned out to be a tactical masterclass, Chiamaka took Motunrayo Ezekiel’s place.

Three minutes after the Falconets started playing, Adaobi handed them a lead. Ten minutes later, Nigeria could have increased their lead, but an offside call kept them from doing so.

But it didn’t take long for the West Africans to score once more. At the Cape Coast Stadium, it was another substitute, Okwuchukwu, who scored to give Nigeria the victory.

The Falconets’ victory on Monday puts them in a strong position to capture the gold medal in Ghana and defend their competitive success from 2019. In the championship game, they will face the victor of the Ghana vs. Senegal encounter.
