Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, claimed that he underwent a gruesome political campaign to win the 2023 presidential election.

This was said by Tinubu on Wednesday at the commissioning of the Rumuokwuta/Rumuola flyover in Port Harcourt.

Despite the brutal campaign, he said he is pleased to have won the recently held presidential election.

The President-elect claimed that in order to win the election, he fought valiantly during the campaign.

However, Tinubu claimed that despite the opposition party’s obstacles and campaigns against him, he still managed to win the election.

“It is an honor and a privilege to be in your midst today,” the president-elect said. I’m a very content man.

“Happy because I overcame a gruesome campaign, worked hard, had a lot of your support, and I won,” the speaker said.

In the meantime, Tinubu has pledged that his administration won’t ignore any region of the nation.

“I will leave legacy projects across the entire country of Nigeria,” said Tinubu.

“I’ll never forget how important the wonderful and great people of this state were to my successful bid to become the next president of this nation. You have my sincere thanks forever.

He is a man of great integrity, in fact. He made the decision to serve the interests of the country and the residents of Rivers state, not his own. I appreciate his selfless example of leadership.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Tinubu the winner of the election, but the opposition parties, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP), had contested the results.
