Elections in 2023: Atiku and Obi ask the court for permission to examine voting materials

Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party have petitioned the Presidential Election Court (PEC) in Abuja to provide them access to materials used in the election on February 25.

Two ex-parte motions they submitted to the PEC secretariat at the Court of Appeal, Abuja, contain their request.

The applications have been scheduled for hearing on Friday, with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and two additional parties listed as respondents.

Obi’s motion was submitted the following day, while Atiku’s was submitted on March 1.
