The actress Wumi Toriola reveals, “My marriage is gone.”

Finally responding to marriage-related rumors, Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has revealed that she is no longer married.

Additionally, she addressed claims that she was violent during her marriage and refuted them.

After the actress took part in a popular TikTok challenge and said she was unmarried, there were online rumors that she was married.

Along with claims that the actress’ violent outbursts caused the marriage to fail, a well-known blogger by the name of Gistlover also made hints about the marriage’s demise.

The Battle on Buka Street actress posted on her Instagram page on Tuesday to dispel the rumors, saying, “There has been a lot of media attention on me lately surrounding my marriage. The marriage has ended, that much is true. For more than a year, we have parted ways. I didn’t tell my fans because it didn’t work out and there was no need for drama.

However, I saw a report yesterday that claimed I was violent during the marriage and battered both my mother and mother-in-law. It was said that these lies were made up by my ex.

“Just so you know, I’m not a violent person. I have never had to punch someone, and I never used violence when I was married.

“The report’s most upsetting revelation is that I used to hit my mother. This is a satanic attack in addition to being personal. It goes against every principle and belief I hold dear. It is expensive to get close to your parent if you are a properly raised Yoruba woman.

My mother has been running behind schedule for more than 20 years, in fact. Additionally, I never argue with my mother-in-law. It has never occurred and will never occur. That is something that my family, my ex-family, and our neighbors can attest to.

“I pray that God pays each of us according to the deeds of our hands and that he blesses those who started the rumor and those who spread it.

“As for myself, I’ve gone past the past and am now concentrated on the next level. I recommend that everyone else follow suit.

On May 13, 2018, Toriola wed her husband, and the two are parents to a son.
